How it Happened
  • Hood trailed 14-9 after a 3-pointer by Devan Rimmer with 3:41 left in the first quarter. A Newson free throw was followed by a pair of layups by Anderson to tie the game before Newson knocked down a shot for a 16-14 lead 23 seconds to go. Jasmine Franklin knotted the scored at 16-16 heading into the second quarter with a basket at the buzzer.

  • Anderson and Sarah Meiklejohn combined for all the scoring in a subsequent 8-0 run by Hood that made it 36-30 with five seconds left in the half. Jordan D'Ambrosio's late drive stretched the Pride's lead back to eight at halftime.
  • The two teams came out cold in the third quarter and combined to shoot less than 30 percent but Widener used advantages from 3-point range and the free throw line to stretch the lead to 54-38 heading into the fourth.
