FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College men's basketball team pressured Albright into 30 turnovers as the Blazers won 94-83 in Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth play. 

Inside the Box Score

• Mason Wang scored a game-high 27 points. The junior shot 6-of-13 from 3-point range, grabbed seven rebounds and led Hood with six assists. 
• Tyler Evans knocked down 7-of-11 field goals and finished with 20 points and a team-high eight rebounds. 
• Michael Riley added 17 points, seven boards and four steals. 
• Evan Wang had a strong all-around effort with 11 points, six rebounds, six assists and four steals. 

How it Happened

• Hood used an 11-2 run early in the game to build a 17-8 with 15:07 to go on a 3-pointer by Mason Wang.
• Another 3-pointer by Wang capped an 11-4 surge later in the half to build a 35-22 lead at the 7:29 mark. 
• The Blazers took their biggest lead of the first half on the final score of the period, a Kobe Butler layup that made it 50-33 at the break. 
• Wang again struck from behind the arc to give Hood a 56-36 advantage with 17:23 left in the game. Troy Smoot answered back for the Lions with a 3-pointer to start as 12-4 run that brought Albright within a dozen with 13:39 remaining. 
• Back-to-back 3-pointers by Evan Wang and Riley halted the run and the Blazers eventually went ahead 76-55 with a Mason Wang 3-pointer at 7:48. 
• Albright hit its stride after that, outscoring Hood to 25-10 to cut the deficit to 86-80 with 1:13 to go. The Lions called timeout and set up the press. Hood passed the ball ahead and Christopher Smalls connected with an open Ryan Hollwedel under the basket for an easy two. Riley came up with a steal and Wang was fouled, making both free throws to stretch the lead back to double figures with only 45 seconds left.

• Hood turned the Lions' 30 turnovers into 33 points. 
• Samuel Majekodunmi led Albright with 23 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Sidney Brown went 7-of-15 on 3-point field goals to finish with 21 points. Smoot shot 4-for-5 from behind the arc and ended the day with 17 points. 
• The win was Hood's second in a row and improved the Blazers to 12-6 overall and 5-4 in the MAC Commonwealth, splitting the series with Albright. The Lions are 10-8 overall and 5-4 in the conference.
