ANNVILLE, Pa. - Hood College's
Mason Wang entered Wednesday night's game at Lebanon Valley needing just one point to reach 1,000 for his career, but poured in 34 to lead the Blazers to a 92-83 win in Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth action.

- Wang took care of the milestone in the game's opening minute on his first field goal attempt and went on to go 10-of-15 shooting and 7-of-10 from 3-point range. The junior sank 7-of-8 free throws in the contest.
- Michael Riley added 20 points on 4-of-7 overall, 3-of-6 from long range and 9-of-10 at the free throw line. The senior led Hood with 12 rebounds for his second double-double of the year.
- Evan Wang matched Riley's 3-point shooting and went 5-of-8 shooting overall on his way to 14 points. He picked up the first of his game-high eight assists on his brother's milestone.
- Tyler Evans was the fourth Blazer in double figures with 11 points, fueled by a 3-of-5 night from 3-point land.
- Hood shot 52 percent in the game, powered by a 17-of-36 performance (47 percent) from behind the arc. The Blazers went 17-of-23 at the free throw line.
How it Happened
- After the Dutchmen turned the ball over on their first possession, Hood set up the offense, swung the ball around, and Mason Wang knocked down the 3-pointer with an open look from the far wing. The shot made him the first Blazer to score over 1,000 points since Cameron Cook during the 2012-13 season.
- It was the first of four 3-pointers Hood hit to open the game, building a 12-5 lead in the opening three minutes. After LVC pulled within three, Hood scored 14 straight points, 11 by the duo of Wang and Riley, to go up 26-9 after Wang's 3-pointer with 12:14 left in the half. Another 3-pointer by Wang gave the Blazers a 21-point lead, 32-11, just over a minute later.
- The Blazers led 46-27 after an Evan Wang 3-pointer at 3:42 when the Dutchmen offense came to life. Lebanon Valley finished the half with a 14-2 run to pull within 48-41 at halftime.
- The Dutchmen carried the momentum to the second half and a layup by Collin Jones pulled them within 53-51 with 17:09 left in the game. Hood answered with 3-pointers on its next four possessions to stretch the lead back to 65-57 with 14:39 remaining.
- Lebanon Valley cut it back to four, 69-65, with 11:21 left, but Hood embarked upon a 15-1 run to put the game out of reach. Six different Blazers scored in the run as Hood went ahead 84-66 with 4:42 on the game clock. Lebanon Valley went 0-for-7 with four turnovers during the Blazers' run.
Notes
- Jones came off the bench to lead the Dutchmen with 27 points on 11-of-15 shooting. He added a team-high nine rebounds. Justin Baker had 14 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.
- The win ended Hood's four-game losing streak as the Blazers improved to 9-4 overall and 2-2 in the MAC Commonwealth. The loss dropped the Dutchmen to 5-8 overall and 0-4 in the conference.
