ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Hood College women's basketball team fell to Lebanon Valley 62-57 in Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth play.

• Mia Savoy and Celestria Hill led the Blazers with 12 points apiece. Hill went 5-of-7 shooting. 
• Ebony Pitt dished out a season-high 10 assists and recorded eight rebounds.
• Morgan Anderson grabbed nine rebounds and added six blocks.

How it Happened

• After LVC scored the game's first six points, Hood scored the next seven, taking the lead on a jump shot by Hill at 6:04 of the first quarter. Savoy scored nine in the first half, shooting 4-of-5 overall and leading the Blazers to a 30-27 lead over Lebanon Valley to start the third quarter.
• The Dutchmen came alive after the half with Emily Mealey scoring nine points to bring LVC within two at the end of the third quarter, 48-46. 
• Lebanon Valley went ahead with seven minutes left on a free throw by Amber Kintzer that made it 49-48. Layups by Anderson and Mackenzie Grove gave the Blazers a three-point lead 52-49 edge with 6:20 to go. 
• Two free throws by Morgan Bamberger and a bucket by Mealey swung the lead back to LVC at the 3:52 mark, 53-52.
• After the Dutchmen stretched the lead to 57-52, Grove scored with 1:38 left go bring the Blazers within three.
• Bre Smith's 3-point shot cut Hood's deficit to one, 58-57, with 12 seconds left. The Blazers were forced to foul and Bamberger made four free throws in the final 10 seconds to seal the win.  

Notes

• Mealey scored 24 points for LVC and added 10 rebounds for a double-double. Jamie Youngkin and Kennedy Kuffa grabbed 12 rebounds apiece.
• Hood used its superior depth to try to keep pace, with 20 of the Blazers' 57 points coming from the bench.
