FREDERICK, Md. - A baseline runner by
Mia Savoy with 5.2 seconds left in overtime lifted the Hood College women's basketball team to a 68-66 win over visiting Lebanon Valley in Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth play.

How it Happened
- In overtime, Savoy scored four seconds into the action and a field goal by Newson with 3:23 left made it 66-62 in favor of Hood. Emily Mealey scored down low with 1:47 left and on the Blazers' next possession, Daelyn Stabler stole the ball and fed Sara White to tie the game 20 seconds later. The next three possessions ended in turnovers, the last of which was a steal by Savoy with 26 seconds to go, which set up the game-winner.
- A layup by Stabler with 7:17 left in the fourth quarter, Lebanon Valley stretched their lead to six points (51-45). Hood fought back by going on a 17-13 run, shooting 8-of-15 from the floor and sending the game to overtime with a layup from Anderson with 35 seconds left in regulation. Hood inbounded from across from its bench and Anderson made a backdoor cut to the far block to tie the game at 62-62.
- With 47 seconds into the third quarter, a layup from Mealey ignited a 13-6 run for the Dutchmen, reclaiming the lead once more with a score of 41-40. Despite some pushback from the Blazers, Lebanon Valley maintained the lead at the end of the third with a score of 46-43.
- Keeney scored 12 of her 21 total points in the second quarter, shooting 3-of-3 from 3-point range. Her first 3-point shot in the first two minutes started the Blazers on a 21-11 run, allowing them to lead LVC 32-28 with 1:13 left before halftime.
- After trailing for most of the first quarter, a layup by Anderson with 2:17 left tied the game at 11. Lebanon Valley answered back with two jump shots from Sofia Bowers and Amber Kintzer to end the first quarter with a score of 15-11.
Notes
- Mealey led all players with 32 points on 12-of-20 shooting and grabbed 12 rebounds. Stabler finished with 13 points, seven rebounds, five assists and five steals.
