Field Hockey erased a two-goal deficit to force overtime against Stevenson


FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College field hockey team erased a two-goal deficit to force overtime against Stevenson but fell 3-2 in Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth play.

Inside the Box Score How it Happened 
  • In the first period, the Mustangs' Macy Kosanovich scored at 3:09 to get Stevenson on the board early. 
  • Rylee Leakway added to Stevenson's lead scoring at 24:10. In the next minute, off a penalty corner for Hood, Johnson would redirect the ball in the box to give the Blazers their first goal, and cut the Mustang lead down to one to end the first half. 
  • Less than five minutes after play resumed, Dillon scored at 34:53 to even the game at 2-2. 
  • The Mustangs had a chance to take a late lead in the fourth but Brown turned away a penalty stroke by Cristina Parrish to send the game to overtime. .  
  • Stevenson's Meghan Huey ended the game with a goal early into the overtime at 61:44..

  • Hood had four shots in the contest.
