FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College women's volleyball team fell 3-0 to visiting Stevenson in Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth action.

	- The Mustangs won 25-13, 25-22, 25-16.

Stevenson 25, Hood 13
	- The Mustangs used a 15-4 run to open the set to build a lead Hood could not overcome. 
 
	- The Blazers pulled within nine on kills by Carrington Ray (16-7) and Ambruster (17-9) but each time Stevenson answered with points to stretch the lead back to double figures. 
 
Stevenson 25, Hood 22
	- Hood reversed fortunes in the second set, jumping out to a 10-2 lead behind all three of Malitzki's aces. 
 
	- The Blazers were unable to keep the momentum, however, as Stevenson embarked on a 15-4 run that gave the Mustangs a 17-14 lead. 
 
	- A block by Ray and Emma Elizondo pulled Hood within 21-20 before kills by SU's Sarah Straub and Piper Connors pushed the Blazers' deficit back to three. 
 
Stevenson 25, Hood 16
	- The Blazers fell behind 10-4 to open the set and never pulled closer than five over the remainder of the match. 
 
Analysis
	- The Mustangs hit a very efficient .308 in the match (47-11-117), while Hood finished at .067 (27-19-119). 
 
For the Opponent
	- Straub had a team-high nine kills for Stevenson and both she and Mackenzie Blevins hit .471 in the match.
 
	- Blevins added 10 assists, trailing Makala Thompson's 14 for the team-lead.
