FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College men's soccer team picks up their first Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth win over the Albright College Lions 4-2. 

Inside the Box Score

• Aiden Hudon, James Endicott, Luke Hammer and Jacob Hill all tallied goals for the Blazers.
• Hammer's goal tonight sits him at seven this season which is the third most goals for a first-year ever at Hood. 
• JP Wiemann led Hood with two assists for a total of seven on the season which has his tied at seventh in a season. 
• Cristian Urbina picked up one assist which moves him into the top 10 in program history in career assists and is tied for fourth for assists in a season.
• Danny Castillo ended the day with two saves. 

How It Happened

• Four minutes before the halftime break, Hudon gave the Blazers the 1-0 lead after receiving a pass from Wiemann.
• Albright answered the Hudon goal with one of their own by Christian Aurand after a scramble in the box to tie the game 1-1 in the 67th minute. 
• Hood put the match away with a three-goal flurry over the span of 15 minutes in the second half.  Hammer started the run when he gave the Blazers the 2-1 lead off a shot on a free kick opportunity in the 71st minute. Endicott tallied his second the season off an assist by Urbina after a fast break opportunity in the 77th minute to extend the lead to 3-1. The Blazers scored their final goal of the game in the 86th minute as Wiemann found Hill in the box for a three goal lead.
• The Lions rounded out the game's scoring as John Villano scored off an assist by Billy Hanratty to make the score 4-2. 

Analysis 

• Hood held the advantage over Albright 17-15 in shots and 8-2 in corner kicks. 

NOTES

• It is the seventh straight year that Hood has won atleast eight matches.

• Aurand and Villano netted the goals for the Lions. 
• B. Hanratty tallied an assist.
• Chris Denholm recorded seven saves in net for Albright.

• "I'm happy with how we finished our chances today in the second half to get our first conference win. Once Albright tied the game at one, we played with a sense of urgency which helped us score a few great goals through the run of play to close it out."
