READING, Pa. – The Hood College men's swimming team picked up the program's first-ever victory over Middle Atlantic Conference opponent Albright 128-60.
First Place Finishes
- Jalen Chance and Hazen Stowell led the Blazers with two first-place finishes each. Chance earned victories in the 50-yard freestyle in 22.49 and in the 100-yard butterfly in 57.28.
- Stowell swam a 1:53.84 in the 200-yard freestyle and a 5:09.32 in the 500-yard free for his first-place finishes.
- Ike Brittingham and Hank Machen earned one first-place finish each. Brittingham was first in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:05.12, while Machen was first in the 1000-yard freestyle in 11:51.89.
- Ethan Hubble ended the day with a first and second place finish. Hubble was first in the 100-yard free in 51.45 and was second in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:56.37
- In the 200-yard medley relay squad of Storm Fuller, Russell Odor, Brittingham and Hubble swam a 1:45.33 and the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Brooks Anderson, Odor, Stowell and Chance in 1:33.91 to earn first-place finishes.
Second Place Finishes
- Fuller ended the day with two second-place finishes. In the 100-yard free, Fuller swam a 52.82 and swam the 200-yard IM in 2:12.54.
- Anderson was second in the 50-yard free in 24.06. Anderson also placed third in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:36.67.
- Patrick Krol swam the 100-yard backstroke in 1:01.99 for a second-place finish for the Blazers.
Third Place Finishes
- Odor swam the 100-yard butterfly in 58.64 for a third-place finish.
- Justin Pettiford earned third after swimming a 1:10.25 in the 100-yard backstroke.
- The 200-yard medley relay team of Julian Urban, Andrew Bezmen, Krol and Pettiford swam a 2:00.56.
Notes
- The 128-60 win over Albright is the first time in program history the Blazers defeated the Lions.
Up Next
The Blazers move to 3-6 on the season and will head to Wilkes-Barre, Pa. on Saturday, November 20 and Sunday, November 21 for the Diamond City Invitational hosted by King's College.
