Mason leads women's track and field at DuCharme Invitational


CARLISLE, Pa. - Hood College's Shania Mason turned in an impressive collegiate debut in the sprints to lead the women's track and field team at the DuCharme Invitational, hosted by Dickinson College.
 
Scoring Points
  • Mason ran a time of 28.40 seconds in the 200-meter dash to place fourth. The first-year would also place sixth in 55-meter dash with a time of 7.83 seconds. Both of her times were among the fastest in program history, ranking second in the 55 and fourth in the 200. 
  • Shayna Hancock placed sixth in 400-meter dash with a time of 1:11:49.
  • Karina Turner finished fourth in the 3000-meter run recording a time of 12:02:32.
Team Standings 
  • Hood was fifth with 10 points. 
  • Dickinson placed first with 249.
