GRANTHAM, Pa. - The Hood College women's lacrosse team dropped its second straight to a nationally ranked opponent, falling to No. 24 Messiah in a Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth contest 21-2. 

Inside the Box Score

• Jess Lyons and Laura Skorobatsch both scored for the Blazers. 
• Liz Connelly had four draw controls. 
• Sophia Vilaca made nine saves in 52 minutes. Remy Anderson played the final eight minutes in goal.

How it Happened

• The Falcons took a commanding early lead with 11 goals in the first 19 minutes of action. 
• Lyons and Skorobatsch scored back-to-back to make it 11-2 with 5:35 left in the first half, but one more goal by Messiah pushed the halftime deficit to 10. 
• The Falcons held Hood scoreless in the second half, adding eight goals to their lead. 

Notes 

• Hood fell to 2-2 on the year and 1-2 in the MAC Commonwealth. 
• Messiah remained unbeaten at 6-0 overall and 3-0 in conference action.

• Rachel Delate finished with three goals and four assists to lead Messiah. 
• Amanda Wadsworth scored three goals and assisted on two others. 
• Abby Howard added three goals and an assist. 
• Hope Flack had six draw controls.
