Field hockey victorious over Ferrum College


FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College field hockey team recorded its first win of the season, shutting out Ferrum College 3-0 in a non-conference contest.  

Inside the Box Score How it Happened 
  • After a scoreless first quarter, Dillion recorded her first career goal at 21:46, assisted by Olivia Sobchak to make it 1-0.
  • The scoring would continue soon after with a goal coming from Barnhart at 26:14, assisted by Hannah Sobchak bringing the score to 2-0 at the half. 
  • The defenses stepped up in the third period with neither team recording a shot. 
  • Halfway through the final period Johnson scored Hood's third goal at 51:45, assisted by Scheibach, securing a 3-0 win by Hood.
