MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - The Hood College women's volleyball team stole the third set before falling 3-1 at Penn State Harrisburg in non-conference action.

- The Blazers regrouped behind the service of Ambruster, who recorded three aces during a 10-3 run to open the set.
- Hood took its largest lead at 19-10 before PSH pulled within 20-16. Walissa Jaque stopped the Nittany Lions' momentum with a kill to start a set-closing 5-1 surge.
- After committing double-digit attack errors in each of the first two sets, the Blazers hit their stride in the third set, tallying just five to make it a 2-1 match.
PSH 25, Hood 19
- The Blazers started slowly in the fourth set, falling behind 14-6. An attack error by Penn St. Harrisburg opened the door for a 7-0 run for Hood that included two kills by Ambruster and a Katie Amaguana service ace.
- Tiniro Tubo halted the run with a kill for the Nittany Lions as they built the lead back to 18-13.
- Hood pulled within 19-17 but did not get closer as PSH closed out the set and the match.
Analysis
- Hood's first two sets skewed its hitting numbers as the Blazers finished with 32 kills and 33 errors.
- Penn State Harrisburg finished with 43 kills and 26 errors.
