Luke Hammer in the 78th minute lifted the Hood College men's soccer team to a 3-2 victory over Penn College in the Blazers' season opener.

- Penn College answered the Salgado goal with one of their own at the 26:07 mark from Tyler Weimart as the teams went into halftime tied at 1-1.
- Coming out of the halftime break, Citro capitalized of an assist by Cristian Urbina to take the 2-1 advantage three minutes into the second half.
- With twenty minutes left to play, Chris McFarland found Colton Wartman to tie the game at two apiece.
- Seven minutes after the Penn College goal, Hammer secured the 3-2 victory off an assist by JP Weimann off a fast break.
