READING, Pa. -  Hood College's Tay Zechman throws a career best in the shot put as the key performer for the Blazers at the Alvernia Winter Invitational. 

Highlights 

• Zechman threw the shot 9.48 meters (31-1 ¼) to place 15th, the throw eclipsed the sophomore's previous personal best of 9.20 (30-2). 
• Chloe McQuillen placed 15th in the high jump with a height at 1.40 meters (4-7). 
• The 4x400-meter relay of Shayna Hancock, Ros Taylor, Adalie Heller and Shania Mason placed 13th with a time of 4:35.84.
