PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - Hood College's Austin Counterman throws a career best in the shot put to lead the Blazers at the Eastern Shore Invitational at Division I UMES. 

Highlights 

• Counterman recorded a mark of 9.88 meters (32-5), placing 11th. The throw made the sophomore the fifth-best Blazer in the event in Hood College history. Counterman placed eighth in the weight throw with a mark of 9.49 meters (31-1 3/4). 
• Jamel Mins ran a time of 23.66 in the 200-meter dash, placing 12th. The time moved the first-year to the third-fastest Blazer in the event in Hood College history. Mins also tied his career best in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.36, placing 16th.
• Evan Ellington also tied his career-best time in the 60-meter-dash with a time of 7.37, placing 17th.

Team Standings 

• Hood finished seventh with four points.
• Delaware State placed first with 172.50.
