PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - The Hood College women's track and field team finished sixth at the Eastern Shore Invitational at Division I UMES.

Highlights 

• Shania Mason placed ninth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.56.
• Lesly Salmeron-Alvarez placed second in the mile run with a time of 7:26.83.
• The 4x400-meter relay team of Shayna Hancock, Adalie Heller, Mason and Ros Taylor placed fourth with a time of 4:44.47. 
• Tay Zechman placed eighth in the shot put with a mark of 9.12 meters (29-11 ¼). 
• Heller placed fifth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:49.75. 

Team Standings 

• Hood finished sixth with 21 points.
• UMES placed first with 150 points.
