STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - The Hood College women's track and field team began its 2022-23 season with a trip to the Fasttrack Season Opener at the Ocean Breeze Track and Field Facility.

In the Field

• Tay Zechman (Lebanon, Pa./Lebanon) was 10th in the weight throw with a mark of 11.16 meters (36-7 1/2). 

On the Track

• Megan Pezenosky (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) and Shayna Hancock (Indian Head, Md./North Point) ran the 500-meter in 1:34.27 and 1:36.59, respectively, finishing 25th and 27th. Their times rank them fourth and fifth all-time at Hood.
