FREDERICK, Md. - Hood College's
Na'Vaye Quarles (Glen Burnie, Md./North County) was perfect from behind the arc totaling 16 points to lead the Blazers to their first Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth win of the season over visiting Eastern 66-53.

How it Happened
- Hood used a 9-0 run to take its first lead of the night on a Quarles 3-point jumper with 5:32 to make it 20-17. Hood outscored the Eagles 22-9 during the entire second quarter, taking a 31-22 lead into halftime.
- Kayla Watkins-Harvey (Largo, Md./Largo) gave Hood its largest lead of the at 14 making a short jumper to push the score to 48-34 at 9:29 into the final quarter.
- Eastern responded with back-to-back threes s by Kayla Worsley-Wooten to cut the Blazers lead to 48-40 with just over seven minutes to go in the fourth quarter.
- Worlsey-Wooten got the Eagles within seven just two minutes later, hitting a driving lay-up bringing the score to 51-44.
- The Blazers pulled away late in the final quarter capped off by a Wright driving lay-up with under a minute to go, that ended the scoring at 66-53.
- The Eagles opened the game up on a 9-0 run that was led by Jeriyah Johnson and Taryn Woodson who accounted for all nine points.
