READING, Pa. - Tay Zechman threw  a career best in the weight throw to lead the Hood College women's track and field team  at the MAC Championships. 

Highlights

• Zechman threw the weight 12.84 meters (42-1 ½) to place ninth, the throw moved the sophomore into second all time in Hood College history in the event.
• The 4x200-meter relay of Shania Mason, Shayna Hancock, Mackenzie Rogers and Gloria Castillo placed 13th with a time of 1:55.38. The time ranks fourth all-time in Hood College history.
• Shania Mason ran a time of 8.44 in the preliminaries of the 60-meter dash, placing 17th. 

Notes

• Hood is tied for 15th place after the first day.
• Misericordia leads the team scoring with 56 points.
