VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Three members of the Hood College women's track and field team recorded personal bests to lead the Blazers at the Richard Drake Invitational at Virginia Wesleyan University.
On the Track
- Shayna Hancock ran a time of 1:05.92 in the 400-meter dash, placing 17th. The time was a personal best for the junior, and made her the fourth-fastest Blazer in the event in program history.
- Shania Mason recorded personal bests in both the 60-meter and the 200-meter dashes. Mason ran a time of 8.38 in the 60 to best her previous time. The first year also recorded a time of 27.87 in the 200, placing 24th. The time bumps Mason up to third all time in program history.
In the Field
- Chloe McQuillen cleared 1.47 meters (4-9.75) in the high jump to secure the junior a personal best, and moved her to second all time in Blazers' history.
