FREDERICK, Md. - Hood College's
Laura Skorobatsch scored her 100th career goal during a seven-goal outburst to lead the women's lacrosse team to a 20-8 win against Neumann University in non-conference action.

How it Happened
- After Russell scored the first goal for the Blazers at 13:58, Skorobatsch scored three in a row to give the Blazers a 4-0 lead. Just over a minute after Russell's goal, Turner found Skorobatsch for her first goal of the game. At 10:13, she scored her second goal with an assist by Connelly.
- Skorobatsch scored her 100th goal came on a free position with 4:47 remaining to give Hood a 4-0 lead.
- The Knights answered with a pair of goals down the stretch to cut Hood's lead in half by the end of the quarter. Brilynn Adams scored at 2:08 and Allison Mallon found the back of the net with five seconds left.
- Neumann continued the momentum with a goal by Lindsey Fagan to make the score 4-3 with 11:30 remaining in the second.
- The Blazers answered with back-to-back goals by Turner and Skorobatsch to extend the Hood lead 6-3 with 10:20 remaining. The goals were 50 seconds apart.
- Goals by Neumann's Bekah Brosky and Fagan halted the Blazer run to take the score to 6-5 with 4:47 left in the second.
- An unassisted goal by Connelly at 3:24 started a 4-0 run to make the score 10-5 with 30 seconds remaining. The Knights again scored in the closing seconds of a period as Fagan stopped the bleeding with a goal at the 11-second mark to head into halftime with Hood leading 10-6.
- In the third quarter, Fagan's third goal came at 11:40 remaining to make the score 10-7.
- At 10:04, the Blazers found their rhythm with a 5-0 run started by Turner to make the score 15-7. Just over a minute later, Burnette found the back of the net. Goals by Demaio and Connelly were just 16 seconds apart at 5:30 and 5:14, respectively. Skorobatsch capped the run with an assist by Turner at 3:06.
- Neumann added the last goal in the third with just six seconds left on a man-up goal by Jayana Murray, once again scoring with the clock winding down.
- The Blazers held the Knights scoreless in the fourth quarter with a 5-0 run, started by Demaio at 12:44. Burnette scored a pair of goals in the Blazers run to secure the 20-8 win.

- Fagan led the Knights with four goals.
- Murray, Brosky, Adams, and Mallon finished with one goal each. Murray added the team-high three caused turnovers and had three ground balls. Adams and Mallon recorded team-highs of four draw controls each.
