Evan Ellington and
Jamel Mins were among the top five Division III competitors in a largely Division I field in the 100-meter dash on the first day of the Towson Invitational.
Highlights
- The entire field benefited from strong tailwinds, including the two Blazers.
- Ellington ran a wind-aided time of 11.01 seconds, just 0.02 ahead of his teammate Mins.
- Ellington ran in a heat with a plus-4.8 tailwind, with Mins competing in a preliminary with a plus-3.5.
- The two were the fourth- and fifth-fastest Division III sprinters in the event. The duo finished 21st and 22nd overall, with 16 of the competitors ahead of them representing Division I and Division II programs..
