Women's track and field competes on day one at Towson


TOWSON, Md. - Tay Zechman and Shayna Hancock highlighted the Hood College women's track and field team on day one of the Towson Invitational. 

In the Field
  • Zechman threw the hammer 35.34 meters (115-11), which puts the sophomore fifth all-time in school history in the event. She ranked fifth among Division III throwers in the hammer and 26th overall. The other throwers ahead of Zechman were all from Division I track and field programs.
On the Track
  • Hancock ran a personal best in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:13.81. She was second among Division III hurdlers and 26th overall.
