SALISBURY, Md. - Hood College's
Ryan Leonardi (Bowie, MD/St. Vincent Pallotti) and
Austin Counterman (Manchester, MD/Manchester Valley) both recorded personal bests, leading the men's track and field team at the Eastern Shore Challenge hosted by Salisbury University.
In the Field
- Leonardi recorded a personal best in the javelin with a mark of 43.46 meters (142-6), placing second. The mark made the junior the third best in Hood College history.
- Counterman threw the hammer 31.41 meters (103-1), the mark moved the sophomore into fifth in Hood College history.
On the Track
- Jamel Mins (Columbia, MD/Atholton) ran a time of 11.46 seconds in the 100-meter dash, placing fifth.
- Evan Ellington (Laurel, MD/St. Vincent Pallotti) recorded a time of 23.48 seconds in the 200-meter dash, good for fifth place.
Team Standings
- Hood finished sixth with 17 points.
- Salisbury won the meet with 248.83.
