FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College women's lacrosse team dropped its Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth matchup with Messiah University with a final score of 15-5.

- The Falcons took a commanding early lead with four unanswered goals in the first fifteen minutes of action. Rachel Delate, Ehryn Groothoff, Makenzie Schnur, and Amanda Wadsworth scored one goal each in the run.
- The teams went on a three-minute scoreless drought to start the second quarter until Messiah's Schnur started a 3-0 run to extend the Falcons lead 7-0 with 7:27 remaining.
- Hood's Burnette halted the run with a free position goal at the 5:56 mark to make the score 7-1.
- The Falcons answered with a goal by Abigail Evans at the 5:56 mark to extend the lead 8-1.
- Just 40 seconds later, Hood's Turner scored a free position goal to make it 8-2 heading into halftime.
- Messiah allowed just one Blazer goal which was scored by Lyons at the 3:29 mark in the third quarter but was overshadowed by a 5-1 run for the Falcons to make the score 13-3 to head into the final quarter.
