WASHINGTON, D.C. - Hood College's
Ros Taylor and
Shayna Hancock ran career bests in the 400-meter hurdles as the key performers for the Blazers at the Gallaudet Invitational.
On the Track
- Taylor ran a time of 1:13.23 in the 400 hurdles, placing third. The time made her the fourth-fastest Blazer in the event in program history.
- Shayna Hancock recorded a career best in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:13.79, placing fifth. With this time Hancock moves into qualifying for the MAC track and field championships later in the season.
- Shania Mason ran a time of 13.58 in the 100-meter dash, placing ninth.
- Adalie Heller ran her best time outdoors in the 800-meter run finishing in ninth with a time of 2:40.44.
In the Field
- Tay Zechman marked a career best in the hammer throw with a mark of 37.53 meters (123-1), placing second. The mark moves the sophomore into third place all time in Blazer history in the event.
Team Standings
- Hood finished sixth with 24 points.
- Catholic won the meet with 174.
