Chris Sappe (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana) and
Dustin Miller (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) both broke school records, leading the men's track and field team at the Blue Marlin Invitational hosted by Virginia Wesleyan University.

Record Breakers
- Sappe broke the record in the 3000-meter run, with a time of 9:16.32, winning the event in the process. His time cut a little over four seconds from the record previously held by Brett Shelley (9:20.29) from 2013. Â
- Miller, placed third in the weight throw, broke his own school record with a mark of 13.72 meters (45-0 1/4). The mark bested his previous school record of 13.67 meters (44-8). Â
HighlightsÂ
- Owen Ellington (Laurel, Md./Gonzaga College) placed 13th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 53.57 seconds. The time ranks the sophomore transfer second all-time in event in school history.Â
