ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - After a back-and-forth contest finished regulation with the score tied, the Hood College field hockey team could not find the golden goal, as the Blazers fell to Eastern University 3-2 in a Middle Atlantice Conference Commonwealth match.Â

After a scoreless first quarter, Emma Kircher got a shot past Brown to open the scoring and give the Eagles a 1-0 lead with just over a minute before halftime.Â
Less than five minutes into the third quarter, Roessler scored to tie the game up for Hood, before Moreno gave the Blazers the lead with a goal just a few minutes later.Â
The Eagles managed to tie the game just four minutes into the fourth quarter with a goal from Ellie Pruit, and the score would remain knotted at 2-2 when the horn sounded for the end of regulation.Â
Three and a half minutes into the overtime period, Kara Frantz scored from a penalty corner to clinch the game for the Eagles.Â
