CHESTER, Pa. - Despite an attempt at a late rally, the Hood College men's soccer team could not match Widener's offense, as the Blazers fell 3-1 in their first Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth loss of the season.

Jackson Quenzer (Westminster, Md./Gerstell Academy) scored the lone goal for the Blazers.
How it Happened
Widener took an early lead when Sean Fatiga scored in just the 4th minute of play. The Pride would double their lead not long after when Michael Donaghy hit the back of the net in the 10th minute, and despite the outburst, the score would remain 2-0 heading into halftime.
The second half would start in a similar fashion to the first, as Fatiga would score once again in only the 48th minute to give Widener a 3-0 lead.
The Blazers would get on the scoresheet in the 74th minute with a goal from Quenzer making it a 3-1 deficit, but Hood would be unable to get any closer before the final buzzer sounded.
For the Opponent
Donaghy picked up an assist on Widener's third goal.
Kyle Stone would make one save for the Pride before being replaced by Ryan Van Pelt, who went untested.
Analysis
The Pride had a 26-5 edge in shots.
