GRANTHAM, Pa. - The Hood College men's soccer team suffered a 6-0 loss against conference opponent No. 1 Messiah University.

How it Happened
Messiah catches an early lead following a goal from Matt McDonald in the 6th minute of the game. Not long after Messiah scored again in the 16th minute of the match off a goal from Josh Bratager. Just two minutes later in the 18th Sam Phillips scored, giving the Falcons a 3-0 lead going into the second half.
At the start of the second half Humphries recorded five saves for the Blazers. Then in the 50th minute Bratager scored his second goal for the Falcons. Next in the 68th Isaac Schmitke scored the fifth goal for Messiah. Finally, Matt Schumacher scored the final goal of the match, closing out the game's scoring.
Analysis
The Falcons held a 34-2 advantage in shots over the Blazers and lead 10-0 in corners.
For the Opponent
Patrick Lee recorded two assists on goals.
Adam Carter recorded one save for the Falcons and played for 45 minutes.
Drew Stief was in goal for 45 minutes.
