FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College men's basketball overcame early shooting struggles to pull off a 89-66 victory against the Bobcats of Pitt-Greensburg.

Kullen Robinson (Alexandria, Va./Alexandria City) set a career high with 13 points.

How it Happened
Pitt-Greensburg got hot early in the game, leading the Blazers by eight points just five minutes into the first half.
The Blazers responded, adding up points of 13 points of their own with a clutch layup by
Justin Gielen (Edgewater, Md./DeMatha) followed by a three-pointer by
Ryan Hollwedel (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial).
Just a minute later Gielen stole the ball from a Bobcat and found a streaking Linton to dunk the ball.
Closing out the first half Hood returned from its early deficit gaining a 41-24 lead.
Entering the second half the Blazers continued their scoring run with three good layups in a row by Cox.
Early in the second both teams would trade three pointers starting off with a shot by Robinson, then a good three-pointer by Pitt-Greensburg's Matthew Marinchak and a response by Hood's
Yhali Steinhauer (Jezreel Valley, Israel/Putnam Science Academy (Conn.)).
The Blazers would gain their biggest lead 82-53 (+29) over the Bobcats after another made layup by Cox.
The match ended 89-66 in favor of the Blazers.
For the Opponent
Matthew Marinchak recorded 26 points, one assist and one steal on the day.
James Evans-Mcquay tallied 12 points and five assists.
Analysis
