FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College women's tennis team won its second straight with a 7-2 non-conference victory of Notre Dame (Md.).
Doubles
- The Blazers swept the three doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead.
- Katie Cautero (Hackettstown, N.J./Lenape Valley) and Kate Haufe (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) were 8-3 winners at first doubles over Mackenzie Lookingland and Emma Mueller.
- At second doubles, Cori Mark (Bel Air, Md./Bel Air) and Lauren Sheffler (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport) won 8-4 over Renee Rosales and Tam Truong.
- Ridley Little (Bristol, Va./Virginia) and Em Bentley (Columbia, Md./Mount de Sales Acad.) defeated Anna Choudhary and Nwanneka Udolisa 8-7 at third doubles.
Singles
- Kate Haufe (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) picked up her second win of the day with a 6-0, 6-4 victory against Mueller at No. 2 singles.
- Cori Mark (Bel Air, Md./Bel Air) won 6-1, 6-1 over Truong at third singles
- Lauren Sheffler (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport) blanked Rosales 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4.
- At fifth singles, Ridley Little (Bristol, Va./Virginia) was a 6-1, 6-3 winner against Choudhary.
