SALISBURY, Md. - The Hood College women's tennis team fell 9-0 at Salisbury University in the Blazers' spring opener.
Doubles
- The closest call came at first doubles, where Katie Cautero (Hackettstown, N.J./Lenape Valley) and Kate Haufe (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) fell 8-3 to Katherine Tamesis and Olivia Hall.
Singles
- Cautero took a game in each set against Elizabeth Christine at first singles but fell 6-1, 6-1.
- Em Bentley (Columbia, Md./Mount de Sales Acad.) lost at sixth singles to Elizabeth Coligan.
- Ridley Little (Bristol, Va./Virginia) kept it close in the first set at No. 5 singles against Evelyn Whiteside before Whiteside picked up a 6-3, 6-0 win.
