GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The 4x100-meter relay team set a record for the fourth time this season to lead the Hood College men's track and field team at the Mason-Dixon Invitational, hosted by Gettysburg College. 

Record Keeping

• Tofunmi Okuseinde (Baltimore, Md./Parkville), Evan Ellington (Laurel, Md./St. Vincent Pallotti), Rell Asamoah (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) and Jamel Mins (Columbia, Md./Atholton) combined to run the 4x100 in 42.21 seconds and was good to win the event. 

Highlights

• Chris Sappe (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana) placed third in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:58.96. 
• Dustin Miller (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) placed seventh in the shot put with a mark of 11.62 meters (38-1). 

Notes

• Hood placed seventh with 24 points
• Messiah won the meet with a team score of 78 points.
