FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College women's lacrosse team dropped a Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth home lacrosse game to Albright College 16-9.

How it Happened
- Albright jumped out to a five-goal lead with the final goal of the run scored by Kayra Lycett on an assist from Sarah Chernis.
- Hood responded with a 4-0 run of its own to pull within a goal. Gregory stopped the Lions' run when she scored with three minutes left in the first quarter. After a yellow card from Cynthia Schneider, Hood capitalized on the man-up advantage with a goal from Stanley on an assist from MacKenzi Wright (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) with 2:17 left.
- To start the second quarter, Demaio scored with 12:56 on the clock. Gregory recorded the final goal of the run on a free position attempt with 8:45 left in the second to pull the Blazers within one.
- Albright answered by scoring the next three goals of the game including a goal by Lauren China with 4:21 remaining that gave Albright had an 8-4 advantage at halftime.
- Ashleigh Tortorice scored the first goal of the second half on an assist from Abbie Moist to give Albright a 9-4 lead with 13:55 left. Goals by Demaio and Gregory made the score 9-6 with 8:04 to go. Albright responded with two goals of its own to make it 11-6 with 5:38 remaining in the third. Abby Burnette (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) scored the final goal of the third quarter with 4:25 on the clock to cut Albright's lead to 11-7.
- Stanely opened the fourth quarter by scoring on an assist from Demaio with 14:02 left. Wright then pulled the Blazers within two on a free position shot with 11:57 left in the game.
- With 7:40 remaining a lightning delay suspended the game for over an hour.
- Albright seized the momentum coming out of the delay, scoring the final four goals to pull away.
