FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College women's lacrosse team jumped out to a 7-0 lead after the first quarter and cruised to a 15-4 win over visiting Eastern in the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth finale for both teams.

How it Happened
- Six different Blazers scored in the first quarter. Hood already led 4-0 before finding the back of the net three times in 46 seconds later in the period. Aldred scored with 2:17 left and goals by Przybocki and Laney Goldrick (Baltimore, Md./Sparrows Point) followed by the 1:31 mark for a seven-goal lead.
- After Eastern's Emerson Shauger started the second quarter scoring, back-to-back goals by Stanley at 8:06 and 5:35 started a four-goal run to end the half. Abby Burnette (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) stretched the lead to nine and Demaio took advantage of a yellow card on the Eagles for the final goal of the half with 31 seconds left to make it 11-1.
- Gregory, Przybocki, Meghan Welker (Frederick, Md./Walkersville) and Wright each scored to start the third period, extending the lead to 15-1.
- Emily Stiles scored for Eastern in the final minute of the third to make it 15-2 before goals by Shauger and Caitlyn Quizon accounted for the fourth-quarter scoring.
