How it Happened
Notre Dame held a slim lead throughout the first set before Emma Mueller and Miasia Ferrer combined for five kills during a 6-1 run to put the set away for 1-0 advantage.
A kill by Wright tied the second set at 13-13, but it was followed immediately by a 10-5 run by the Gators to reclaim command to take a two-set lead.
Burge notched kill that kicked off a three-point surge that gave the Blazers a 21-18 lead in set three. Notre Dame stopped the momentum with a Mueller kill that spurred a 7-1 run to end the match.
Analysis
The Gators served up nine aces, compared to three for the Blazers. Hood used a 7-3 edge in blocks to try to keep pace.
For the Opponent
Notre Dame's Ferrer led all players with a dozen blocks.
Paulina Hernandez had match highs with five aces and 24 digs, while Natalie Newton dished out 24 assists.
