ST. DAVIDS, Pa. – The Hood College men's soccer team could not pull away with a victory in Middle Atlantic Conference matchup with Eastern University, dropping the road contest 4-1.

Orlando Portillo (Silver Spring, Md./John F. Kennedy) scored the single goal for Hood with Ange Simo (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) notching on an assist.
Nick Humphries (Potomac, Md./Potomac) made three saves in the match.
How it Happened
Some early offense for Eastern allowed for an Eagles goal just seven minutes and forty-two seconds into the match. After the initial goal, both teams seemed to have goal attempts with an attempt from
Ben Keville (Gambrills, Md./Arundel); however, the Eagles would score once more in the 25th minute making it 2-0.
The Blazers managed to find the back of the net off a corner kick where Portillo took a strike after receiving a pass from Simo bringing Hood within in one point of Eastern. Before the first half came to a close the Eagles scored another goal to make the score 3-1.
Another early-half offense for Eastern resulted in the fourth goal for the Eagles just six minutes into the second half.
Despite more good looks from Hood, the Eastern goalkeeper, managed to make crucial saves late in the match to preserve a victory for the Eagles. At the final whistle the scoreboard read 4-1 in favor of Eastern University.
For the Opponent
Ethan Pfau scored twice for Eastern.
Zach Sievert and João Tarabal each scored once for the Eagles.
Sievert, Tarabal, Jacob Shalev and Sam Provido recorded assists on the day.
Ty Bleiler made six saves after 90 minutes of play.
Analysis
Eastern outshot Hood 18-10.
The Blazers had 10 corner kicks compared to the Eagles' four.
Both squads had a total of 12 fouls in the match.
