READING, Pa. –
Ange Simo's (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) goal in the 52' is the game-winner in the 2-1 compelling win over Albright for the squad's conference win of the season on Wednesday night.
Inside the Box Score
Landon Norcross (Mechanicsville, Md./Chopticon) scored his third goal of the season.
Ange Simo (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) scored his first goal of the season along with the assist on Norcross's goal.
Nick Humphries (Potomac, Md./Potomac) made four saves.
How it Happened
Not even two minutes into the game, the Blazers' first corner resulted in a header by Norcross after reaching the highest point and putting his attempt into the back of the goal to put the Blazers up.
Hood did not leave the first half unharmed as in the 21' a cross by the Lions found a trailing attacker that put a ball off the Blazer keeper and into the goal to knot up the game.
In the 52', Simo found himself in a two-on-one scenario on the left wing where a hesitation and a sprint towards the middle of the field shed off two defenders and gave him the opening to shoot and find the opposite side of the goal to put the Blazers up with a little less than a half to go.
For the Opponent
Martin Ramsey scored Albright's goal.
