GRANTHAM, PA – The women's field hockey took on a top ranked conference foe in No. 14 Messiah and fell on the road with a score of 9-0 on Wednesday night.

Madeline Moreno (Mansfield, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) and
Natalie Badour (New Freedom, Pa./Susquehannock) had a defensive save on the night.
How it Happened
The Blazers had a tall task to hold off the ranked Falcons, their toughest opponent to date.
From the jump, Messiah gained possession and went on the attack.
Richana Brown (Dover, Del./Dover) put the scoring at a standstill with two rejections of opposing shots and neutralizing an early ambush.
Her third save came at minute twelve and even had the help of Moreno's defensive save before the first Messiah goal right before the end of the first quarter.
The second goal of the game happened at the start of the second and two other goals occurred to make the deficit 4-0 before half as Messiah ran away with the contest.
For the Opponent
Teagan Murrie, Chelsea Carpenter and Carrie Bair all had a pair of goals for Messiah.
