Mechanicsburg, Pa. - The Hood College women's cross country team finished out the regular season at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships, hosted by Messiah University.
On the Course
Aylene Noy (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) received a bronze medal as she led the Blazers with a time of 23:01.5 on the 6,000-meter course, finishing 6
th overall.
Promise Green (Monrovia, Md./Linganore) ran a 26:49.0 and placed 64th.
Samantha Smith (Taneytown, Md./Delone Catholic High School) finished 75th after running a 27:20.2 6k.
Megan Mulholland placed 79th overall with a time of 27:30.5 and Rosa Olivar finished just one second behind her teammate with a time of 27:31.1 placing 80th overall.
Jenny Schlossberg (Mount Airy, Md./Damascus High School) and Marin Bartman (Middletown, Md./Middletown) also crossed the finish line together as they placed in 100
th and 101st place. Schlossberg recorded a time of 28:45.5 and Bartman recorded a time of 28:47.5.
Tianna White (Silver Spring, Md./James Hubert Blake) closed out the meet's placing for Hood as she finished 119
th with a time of 34:07.6.
Champions and Team Scoring
Misercordia University won the team crown with 50 points.
Gabriella Nye of Widner University was the individual champion and ran a time of 22:33.5.
Hood placed 9th overall with a total of 255 points.
Notes
Noy becomes the first runner to earn First Team All-Middle Atlantic Conference honors in program history.
Noy also became Hood's highest individual finisher as she placed 6th overall.
The Hood College women's cross country team placed 9th overall which is the best finish for the program since 2013.
