Frank Spaide (Bensalem, Pa./Conwell-Egan Catholic) had two innings of work and gave up three hits on no runs.

Hood 20, Eastern 0
-
The bottom of the third inning proved to be a long one for Eastern. After the first Blazer run scored via error and Eastern's Cottrell loaded the bases, Cameron Day (Hagerstown, Md./Clear Spring) skied a pitch to deep left field and hit the ball off the yellow tubing on the top of the fence and over for a grand slam to put Hood up 5-0.
-
Later, Tyler Schwarzman (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) hit a ball over a moving shortstop and into the outfield to achieve his 100th career hit. A Stout base-hit up the middle would score Austin Rhue (Milton, Del./Cape Henlopen) for 6-0.
-
Keegan Brennan (Lake Wynonah, Pa./Nativity BVM) hooked a ball just inside the left field line for a double and cleared the bases to score runs seven, eight, and nine.
-
Stephen Sommer (Leesburg, Va./Loudoun) drove a ball through the right side to score Brennan to wrap up the 10-run inning.
-
Albright found himself in trouble with the bases loaded as Eastern's Barks hit a line drive to the left side of the infield that found the glove of an airborne Alex Jenkins (Ashburn, Va./Stone Bridge) and ended the top of the fifth inning.
-
In the bottom half, Day cashed in his fifth RBI of the day with a single through the left side and Sommer scored from second base. Austin Rhue (Milton, Del./Cape Henlopen) followed him by beating out the throw from third for a single but as the ball bounced past the first basemen, Day scored from third good enough for 13-0.
-
Later in the inning, Brennan would pepper the left side of the field with another double to score two more to go up 16-0.
-
And if 5 RBIs wasn't enough, the Eagles' relief pitcher hung a breaking pitch over the heart of the plate and Day sent a no-doubter over the left field fence to extend the lead to 18.
-
Eastern's closest run rounded third but was hunted down by a throw by none other than Cameron Day (Hagerstown, Md./Clear Spring) to end the top of the seventh.
