HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Men's Golf had three top 20 finishers on the weekend but place fifth at the Cardinal Spring Classic at the Black Rock Golf Course.
On the Scorecards
- Tanner Leonard (Berlin, Md./Stephen Decatur) shot a pair of 79's on the weekend to be 14 over par and place 12th in the field.
- Patrick Gogarty (Dagsboro, Del./Indian River) tied the team-low on the second day with a 75 which was good for a t-13th finish.
- Sam Driscoll (Woodsboro, Md./Walkersville) shot a 161 for the weekend and earned a 17th place finish.
- Mac Arida (Gambrills, Md./Crofton), Brady Leonard (Berlin, Md./Stephen Decatur), and Nathan Leppo (Finksburg, MD/Westminster) trailed Driscoll by two strokes good enough to be tied for 23rd.
On the Leaderboard
- Catholic won the tiebreaker with Goucher after both teams shot a 39 over par, 13 strokes ahead of third place Shenandoah.
- The Cardinals were led by Colin Coogan who shot a cool 67 on the second day to finish even on the weekend a top the individual leaderboard.
- Hood finished 5th of 8 teams in the mix, five strokes behind Marymount.
