FREDERICK, MD – A goal scored in each quarter was the statement to keep the field hockey squad undefeated at home in the 5-1 win over Neumann on Saturday afternoon.

Hackett found herself right in front of the goalkeeper and redirected a scorcher delivered by
Bianca Scally (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Thousand Oaks) struck the back right of the box to put the Blazers in front 1-0.
Hood was utilizing the open space given by Neumann by using cross-field lobs to create opportunities for shots beside the crease.
Great defensive play by Neumann's goalkeeper Emma Schneider in the first quarter could not keep a free Moreno strike out of the goal with less than two minutes to extend the lead.
Emma Massey (Felton, Del./Lake Forest) started at the opponent's defending quarter of the field and maneuvered through a sea of defenders to net Hood's third goal of the day two minutes into the second.
The Knights later made an offensive push that included a handful of penalty corners but
Richana Brown (Dover, Del./Dover) went upfield to stop momentum.
It took until after half for Neumann to receive a pass in front of the Blazer goal and a wrap-around shot put the Knights in the score column.
Emma Numme (Shrub Oak, NY/Lakeland) wanted to keep pouring it on for the Blazers and responded within 50 seconds to bring the Blazer lead back to three goals.
