ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Hood College women's volleyball team could not complete their second reverse sweep in three games, as the Blazers fell to Lebanon Valley College 3-1 on the road.

Inside the Box Score
Ann Ofoegbu (Falling Waters, W.Va./Spring Mills) led the team with 12 kills and two total blocks.

Ainslee Barger (Poolesville, Md./Poolesville) ended the evening with 10 digs.
How it Happened
Despite Hood starting the first set well and holding a 10-8 lead, LVC took control with a 13-2 run to all but put the set away, taking the early 1-0 lead.
Although the Dutchmen jumped out to a 9-1 advantage in the second set, the Blazers rallied back with six straight points, two of them being Ricketts aces, to get within two. That would be as close as they would get though, as LVC built their lead back up and did not give Hood another chance before putting the visiting team on the brink with a 2-0 match lead.
The Blazers controlled the third set almost from the start, accumulating a 12-6 lead halfway through the set. While the Dutchmen got within three, an 8-2 run put Hood back in the driver's seat to finish the set and force a fourth.
As they did against Mary Baldwin, the Blazers kept up with LVC's offense well when the set got rolling, as both squads exchanged points while looking for some kind of foothold to get a rally going. Unfortunately, with Hood holding a marginal 12-11 lead, the Dutchmen were the ones to rally to the tune of an 11-3 run, putting an end to the hopes of a comeback.
For the Opponent
Mattea Penner had five total blocks.
Robyn Stepler led LVC with 30 assists.
