FREDERICK, Md. – The Hood College women's soccer could not find the back of the net in its final non-conference match of the season, falling 3-0 to Salisbury University.
Inside the Box Score
Ashley Stine (Allentown, PA/Emmaus) made five saves in net.
How it Happened
Both goalies were tested early on, as the Blazers forced Riley Kinzeler to make a save just over five minutes into the match. After Stine made her first save of the night 17 minutes later, Hood threatened on the counterattack, but Kinzeler was able to keep everything in front of her as the scoreless tie continued into the halftime break.
Although the Blazers looked to continue their momentum on offense into the second half, they were stunned by the Seagulls offense who scored two goals in just over two minutes, finding themselves in a 2-0 hole out of nowhere.
Despite Hood having another offensive rush just a few minutes later, Kinzeler continued to frustrate the home team, stopping shot after shot to maintain Salisbury's two-goal lead. A third goal from the Seagulls in the 78
th effectively put the game away, as the Blazers were only able to get one more shot on goal before the horn sounded to finalize the 3-0 loss.

Kinzeler made eight saves in the shutout.
Skylar Williams, Jordan Edwards, and Brooke Spadin scored for Salisbury.
