GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Hood College men's cross country team turned in a gritty performance at the
Aubrey Shenk Invitational, hosted by Gettysburg College, placing 15th overall in a competitive field of 34 teams.
Alex Seskar (Great Mills, Md./Great Mills) crushed an 8k program record with his performance.
Top Times
Leading the way for the Blazers was
Seskar, who crossed the finish line in 26:09.10
, earning 38th place out of over 300 runners in the men's 8k race.
Close behind was
Chris Sappe (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana), finishing in 26:36.60 for 46th place, followed by
Warren Hersh (Havre de Grace, Md./The Tome School) (27:53.30),
Ramzee Keyrouz (Bethesda, MD/Walter Johnson) (29:37.80), and
Leule Yohannes (Rockville, Md./Richard Montgomery) (29:48.40), rounding out the scoring five for Hood.
Alonzo Miles (Washington, DC/KIPP DC College Prep) also contributed with a time of 30:39.00.
The Aubrey Shenk Invitational featured athletes from over 30 colleges and universities, including Division I, II, and III programs.
