BURTONSVILLE, Md. - On Saturday, October 18th the Hood College equestrian team competed at a show hosted by American University at the Other Left Stables.
At the Show
Senior Brooke Weadon (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) started off the day winning her Limit Flat class on AU's Zoe, qualifying for regionals. She also placed fourth in Intermediate Fences on AU's Theo, after received a re-ride from AU's Cass.
First-year Maria DiPierro (Cochranville, PA/Junior Flyers) placed fourth in Intermediate Fences on AU's Theo and sixth in Limit Flat on AU's Fiona.
Sophomore Sarah Wauls (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) won her Intermediate Flat class on AU's Zoe and placed sixth on AU's Theo in Limit Fences.
Junior Delmy Veziroglu (Lake Worth, Fla./Park Vista Community) placed second on AU's Mango, qualifying for Regionals in Novice Flat.
Sophomore Angelina Sotela (Frederick, Md./Frederick) placed fourth in Novice Flat on AU's Fiona.
Sophomore, Reagan Ochoa (Rohrersville, Md./Barbara Ingram School for the Arts) placed fifth in Novice Flat on AU's Ringo.
In her debut show, Sophomore Emily Piersall placed second on AU's Butters in Pre-Novice Flat.
And finally, Emilia Alcala Torrez finished off the day placing third in Intro flat class on AU's Linus, being the third rider of the day to qualify for regionals.
