FLEETWOOD, Pa. – The women's golf team hit the ground running on day two to earn a fourth place finish at the 36-hole Golden Oaks Shootout at the Golden Oaks Golf Course on Sunday and Monday this week.
On the Scorecards
Keira Cocoran shoots a 178 on the day with four pars in round one and five in the round on day two.
Gabi Miller (Connellsville, Pa./Connellsville) after a tough front nine posted five pars and a birdie to shoot under 90 on day one. Add three pars on day two to land in the t-24 spot.
Mia Cheesebrough (Mendota Heights, Mn./Two Rivers/St. Paul Riveters) mirrored the 183 of Miller but finished on day two with a birdie at the end of the front nine and the back nine to keep in the Top 25.
Sophia Stultz (Elk Township, N.J./Our Lady of Mercy Academy) rounded out the Blazers but struck gold on the short par 4 with a birdie in round one.
On the Leaderboard
The Marymount women caught fire in round two with each golfer marking at least two birdies apiece.
Eunice Chang shot even on day two to take the gold with five birdies to boast for the Saints.
Hood parks in fourth of eight teams invited in the two-day event.

The squad will set out once more this fall season for the Spartan Shootout on October 19 and 20 at Royal Manchester hosted by the York College of Pennsylvania Spartans.
